For Ye Violls

March 23, 2023 @ 8:00 am - March 26, 2023 @ 5:00 pm

Announcing…

An intensive weekend workshop for viol players at all levels in Albuquerque, NM

March 23 – 26, 2023.

We are now at full enrollment, but do send in a registration form without the deposit if you’d like to get on our wait list, and we’ll let you know if a spot opens up for you.

For Ye Violls 2023 will be an intimate four-day weekend for viol players at all levels featuring five-and six part consort music from England, Flanders, and Italy. The workshop’s three instructors—Wendy Gillespie, Larry Lipnik, and Mary Springfels—are among the most outstanding coaches in the field. Each tutor has chosen a repertoire. There will be six formal sessions, plus a final reading and faculty concert. There will be free time each afternoon for an extra drop-in class, siesta, or sightseeing.
